File Sharing Made Easy For Attorneys

Picture
Attorneys on the go often need to share files or access important documents and photographs. When working with other attorneys, legal aides and clients, collaborating on important aspects of the case can be critical. Email is okay but it can be time-consuming and not secure. There are cloud services that allow easy file sharing on any device- Desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Here are several different cloud services that make file-sharing simple yet secure.

  • Dropbox: Dropbox can make life a hundred times easier when files need to be shared instantly. With the simple drag-and-drop feature, Dropbox acts as any other Windows folder except that it has the ability to sync in real-time to any other device that has access to the shared folder. This makes sharing files with multiple users as easy as dragging a file into a Dropbox folder. What a timesaver!
  • Evernote: The best way to create and share documents from mobile devices. Simple notes can be created anywhere, shared, and stored for later use. Evernote has a great tagging and search feature which can be useful when dealing with many documents. Evernote offers the best organization for documents, photographs, and audio clips.
  • Box: Box is a service similar to Dropbox and while they offer more storage, they have file size limits whereas Dropbox has no file size limits. Box has many additional features such as the ability to sync with several other cloud services, and it also integrates with Google Docs so you can create Google Docs documents and spreadsheets in Box.
Using all three services together can make life even easier, as these cloud services each have their own unique features and benefits, and each one can be useful in the law firm.
