Top 5 Apps To Keep You Organized

Evernote: Evernote is mentioned frequently on this blog as its usefulness to lawyers has been well-documented. Evernote is the ultimate note-taking, document creation/editing app around. It is perfect for jotting down notes on the go, creating audio files and snapshots when they need to be grabbed quickly. The Evernote web clipper is perfect for storing articles or bits of information from the web. It has a great tagging and searching feature that allows users to find any document, photo or other file quickly and efficiently.

reQall: reQall is pretty much like an entire office all wrapped up in a tiny app. It takes care of tasks such as email, phone calls, instant messaging and texts, as well as appointments and reminders. It also has a local feature, so that when you are in a particular area, it can remind you of tasks that need to be accomplished in that area.

TripIt: This app is useful for lawyers that travel as TripIt provides maps and weather forecasts for specific areas, books restaurant reservations and cinema tickets and allows lawyers to create schedules and itineraries.

Cozi: Cozi is a small, simplistic app but it serves an important function. It is a calendar-based app that allows lawyers to be more organized by separating work from personal use.

Dropbox: Dropbox has so many uses that they have not all been discovered yet, but one thing's for sure- it can handle a lot of large files and can organize them in a Windows-type environment. It is perfect for storing large files such as audio or video files, and while its searching capabilities could be better, its drag-and-drop Windows file-and-folder structure cannot be overlooked.
